When you bless someone you expand them; you offer them a place of refuge from
everything that conspires to diminish them. A place of refuge is an opportunity for selfremembering.
Often it is found in a relationship with someone who sees the hidden wholeness in
us before we can. The future is determined by the potential of the present, the potential in each
one of us. In this critical time in the human story, potential cannot be wasted. Those who uncover
the hidden wholeness and potential in others, who are committed to witnessing it, believing in it,
and strengthening it, may be the architects of the future of the world.-
The web of connection confers great power on each of us to change the world around us.
It confers on us the power to become a blessing to total strangers, people whose names we do not
even know. Because of this web of connection, each of us has already blessed many more people
than we can even imagine.
We are born with the power to befriend the life around
us and the life within us and heal the world. All life needs from us is our intention to care.
